Shinobue Flute: Learning Plateau and How to Overcome it

Q & A: I feel like I've hit a learning plateau. What can I do to overcome it?

Answer: I suggest you play for somebody else. It doesn't have to be anything formal. It can be just playing for your supportive and safe friends, family, or co-workers. And it doesn't have to be anything difficult. Any song will do! But when you set a goal like that, suddenly you start to see what you need to work on and get motivated to practice for it! Just pick an easy song you know very well and have a great time! And after you practice your song and know it well, don't worry about making mistakes or playing badly. In fact, I practice more after a bad performance and I always get better from it!! (if you think I'm good, that means I had many bad performances!!)
